1. Who We Are

Tap Rivals is operated by Remia Solutions Inc. ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use the Tap Rivals mobile game and website.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• Username (the display name you choose)
• Email address (when signing in with email or a third-party provider)
• Profile preferences (color selection)

2.2 Information from Third-Party Sign-In

• Google Sign-In: email address, Google account ID
• Sign in with Apple: email address (or Apple-generated relay address), Apple user ID
• Facebook Login: Facebook user ID, email address

We only receive the minimum identity data needed to create your account. We do not access your social feed, contacts, or posts.

2.3 Gameplay Data (automatically collected)

• Game results and outcomes (wins, losses, draws)
• Timing performance (average tap error in milliseconds)
• Badges earned, player level, XP, and virtual currency balances
• Play streaks and daily challenge history
• Individual game session records (game type, result, timestamps)

2.4 Device and Technical Data

• Device type, operating system, and app version (via crash reporting)
• Firebase Cloud Messaging token (only if you enable push notifications)
• Error logs and crash reports (to diagnose and fix bugs)
• Referral source (how you found the app, e.g. a friend's invite link)

2.5 Analytics Events (Firebase Analytics)

• Screen views and navigation paths
• Game events (games started, completed, badges unlocked)
• Session timestamps and retention signals (e.g. whether you returned on day 2)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use this information to:

• Operate the game and sync your progress across devices
• Display your username and stats on leaderboards (opt-out available in Settings)
• Send push notifications about streaks and challenges (only with your permission)
• Diagnose crashes and improve app stability
• Analyze gameplay to balance difficulty and improve features
• Process friend requests and power social features
• Send marketing updates (only if you explicitly opted in during onboarding)
• Credit referral bonuses when you invite friends

We rely on the following services, each governed by their own privacy policy:

5. Data Retention

• Account data is retained until you delete your account
• Individual game records are retained while your account is active
• After deletion, anonymized aggregate game records (with no user identifier) may be retained for product analytics
• Crash reports are retained for 90 days per Sentry's policy
• Firebase Analytics events are retained per Firebase's default (14 months)
• Push tokens are deleted when you delete your account or disable notifications

6. Account and Data Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated personal data at any time:

• In-app (instant): Settings → Delete Account → type DELETE → confirm
• Web form: taprivals.app/data-deletion
• Email: legal@remia.app with subject "Data Deletion Request"

Deletion removes your profile, username, stats, badges, and authentication record. Requests are processed within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

Tap Rivals is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact legal@remia.app and we will delete it promptly.

8. Your Rights

EU/EEA residents (GDPR): You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, and port your data. Contact legal@remia.app to exercise these rights.

California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what data we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal data. We do not sell your personal data.

All users: You can opt out of marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email we send, and disable push notifications in Settings or your device's system settings.

9. Push Notifications

We send push notifications only after you grant permission. They are used for streak reminders and challenge alerts. You can disable them at any time in Settings → Notifications or in your device's system settings under Tap Rivals.

10. Security

Your data is stored in Google Firebase, protected by Firestore security rules that restrict read/write access to authenticated account owners. Data is encrypted in transit using TLS. We do not store plaintext passwords.

11. Changes to This Policy

We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of Tap Rivals after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
